Deadline Reprieve

May 10, 2006

My original "all in" manuscript deadline for the WPF book was Monday, two days ago, but I've gotten additional time for good behavior (which consisted of delivering many early chapters early on).

This extension of a couple weeks is very welcome. Otherwise, the book would have several totally blank chapters, which can be somewhat embarrassing.

I've just gotten over a major hump — the group of chapters that begins with data bindings, goes on to styles, then tackles templates (the longest chapter yet) and finishes up with data views. That's the last chapter before I'm allowed to party in the garden of graphics.

I'm taking a little vacation day today. (Well deserved, I might add.)
