Podcast of my Talk about Turing at the University of Toronto

March 6, 2009
Mississauga, Ontario

Last night I had the wonderful opportunity to speak at the University of Toronto about Alan Turing and the Turing Machine. This talk is now available as a podcast:

In the talk I make a couple references to web sites. Here's the work that Microsoft Research is doing on program analysis:

Warren McCulloch appears at the top of this page, and if you scroll down, you can view a video of him interviewed on Canadian TV in 1969:

Comments:

Fascinating talk. I'm actually going to go buy your new book right now. I disagree with you on so many levels when it comes to your acceptance of Darwin's theories, but I really enjoyed this talk. Thanks for sharing.

Charles, just listened to your talk. It was very interesting, educational, and entertaining. Not to mention timely, as I am about 2/3rds through The Annotated Turing.

I implore you to do more speaking engagements, to have them recorded, and to post them here! :-) I don't suppose you have an audio transcription of "Visual Studio Rots the Mind?"
