Just listened to Yet Another Podcast, hearing about those analog computers and your lament about nowadays we're doing only digital computing, got me thinking about the new upcoming flavor of computing: quantum computing.
Because (as far as my limited understanding goes anyway) a quantum computer operates both in a digital and an analog domain, I mean when exiting/entering quantum decoherence.
So having such a computer would give you back that lost capacity for effortless drawing of sine curves :-)
